With Lips Like an Island Lily Red Wet with the Soft Rain Kisses of the Night
Fine art archival print · 17 × 17 in · 2026 · US$709
The title is a line I couldn’t put down. It’s the way we actually speak about beauty here — long, weathered, unafraid of being lush. This is a Caribbean way of loving: name every part of it, and take your time.
I stitched this piece slowly. The reds and the greens don’t compete; they lean into each other the way rain leans into leaves. There’s a wetness to the image that only shows up if you get close enough — a slight sheen in the thread I used only in this piece.
For collectors who love poetry as much as they love painting — and who understand that our language is our art too — this piece was made for your wall.
This piece is part of Embroidered x Nature, my current collection of hand- stitched botanical portraits.
